The National Association of Social Workers is the largest organization of professional social workers, with 120,000 members nationwide, over 1800 of whom are members of the NASW Georgia Chapter. NASW-GA promotes the image and interests of professional social workers and those they serve. Georgia's social workers practice in various settings, including family service agencies, community mental health centers, hospitals, employee assistance programs, schools, and public and private agencies.
