Presenter: Jan N. Yates, LCSW, ACSW, BCD
Jan Yates is a social worker with over 40 years of experience in various settings, including inpatient mental health, outpatient therapy, hospice, and crisis services. She has served as a member of the NASWGA Board of Directors and has been involved in selecting articles of interest to social workers. She also is involved in the creation of monthly "Lunch N Learns. Jan is based in Macon, Georgia.
After the Presentation, Participants will:
- Get a working definition of gratitude.
- Review gratitude in historical, cultural, and religious context.
- Learn about Trait Gratitude and Gratitude as Life Orientation.
- Review research on gratitude and psychological well-being.
- Explore bio/psycho/social benefits of gratitude.
- Look at ways to incorporate gratitude in every-day life.
