Join us in celebrating Nancy V. Brown as NASW Georgia's newly elected MSW Student Representative. As an MSW student at Fort Valley State University and an Afro-Latina, originally from Costa Rica, Nancy is deeply committed to advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion, and trauma-informed care throughout Georgia. She is passionate about empowering others through education, mentorship, and advocacy and believes meaningful change begins with listening, collaboration, and service.
As the NASW Georgia MSW Student Representative, Nancy looks forward to amplifying student voices, promoting leadership development and professional growth, strengthening connections between students, educators, and experienced social workers, and advocating for policies and practices that advance social justice while strengthening the social work profession. She considers it a privilege to represent the next generation of social workers and is honored to serve, learn, and lead alongside colleagues who are committed to advancing the profession and improving the well-being of individuals, families, and communities across Georgia.
