Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW)
The LMSW is typically the first level of licensure for individuals who have earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited program. LMSWs may practice social work within the scope established by Georgia law and may use this license while gaining the required supervised experience toward clinical licensure.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
The LCSW is an advanced clinical license for social workers who have completed the required post-master's supervised clinical experience and meet all requirements established by the Georgia Composite Board. LCSWs may provide independent clinical social work services in accordance with Georgia law.
